Jim comes with more than 37 years of branding, marketing and advertising experience in Asia Pacific. He is an entrepreneur at heart and set up Briq in 2009 as a fully integrated marketing and communications agency in Singapore, and has since expanded to Malaysia, Cambodia and Indonesia; and has a wide network of global partners to manage services for its clients. Punching above its weight, Briq has an impressive list of clients comprising of local, MNCs, and the government sector, and it has won numerous industry awards for its work, as well as Agency of the Year - The Next Big Thing, in 2010 by Marketing. Briq is recognised as Singapore SME 1000 Companies for many years since 2013. Jim was one of the pioneers at OMD and PHD in Asia Pacific. He spent 10 years with Omnicom Media Group as Regional Managing Director in SEA/South Asia and Executive Director of Omnicom Media Group Asia Pacific, and was responsible for setting up 16 offices in APAC. Prior to joining the advertising industry, Jim worked for Novartis, Gillette, The Boots Company (Far East), Chocolate Products and LVMH-Diageo in the positions of sales, marketing, branding, product management, and company management. He has a wide industry experience from FMCG, Financials, Healthcare, Education, Telco, Beauty, Luxury Brands and the Government ministries. Some of the key brands in communications he has managed (past and present) include McDonalds, Yum Restaurants, Pernod Ricard, Visa, HP, Standard Chartered Bank in APAC, and currently Allianz Insurance, China Life Insurance, Prada/Miu Miu SEA, Seiko, Acer, Hilton/Conrad, Lindt Chocolates, MyRepublic, and so on. Jim is a reputed individual who has built successful businesses, brands and companies; a strategist; a visionary leader; and he has won and led many creative and industry awards across Asia Pacific in his advertising career including CEO of The Year 2007 by Marketing.
